Wonderful Countryside

Dorset needs no introduction when it comes to fantastic countryside – from coast to hills, from valley to river. The countryside around Frampton House is a maze of footpaths stretching right to the coast. Frampton village has its own website here with guided walks and information about the local area.

Nunnery Mead nature reserve owned by Dorset Wildlife Trust is half a mile upstream from Frampton House; while The Kingcombe Centre, seven miles west of Frampton, offers events and guided walks in and around the local countryside. Hog Cliff Nature Reserve (the bluebell wood to the right) is an hour's walk from the village.

You'll find stunning Cathedrals, Abbeys and architecture within an hour or two of Frampton House; including Wells, Sherborne, Bath, and Exeter, as well as wonderful ancient monuments at Maiden Castle, Corfe Castle, Badbury Rings, and Stonehenge.
